Minutes November 2016
Minutes of November 3, 2016 Meeting
Philadelphia Ship Model Society
The November 2016 Philadelphia Ship Model Society monthly meeting was called to order at 7:12 PM by President Fred Signor, who led the Pledge of Allegiance. Sick call was conducted, with no new reported issues. Jim Wheeler, Vice President, introduced John Otto to conduct the White Whale auction.
Due to the ongoing SEPTA strike, attendance was low, which resulted in subdued bidding, and some great bargains were available for kits, tools, and books. The highest bids were for partially completed kits an Albatross and a Hershhoff 12 ½. Some small scale plastic kits were acquired with the intent to give them to children that show interest in the hobby when visting the model shack.
