Minutes from January 7 2016 PSMS Meeting
The 284th meeting of the Philadelphia Ship Model Society was called to order at 7:06 PM on January 7, 2016, by President Fred Signor, who led the Pledge of Allegiance. It was noted that it was 85 years to the day from the first meeting of PSMS on January 7, 1931.
Due to a late cancellation by the scheduled speaker, Vice President Jim Wheeler presented his experiences with submarine modelling. His presentation shared lessons-learned and expertise-gathered, all of which would be of great value to anyone interested in or considering modelling submarines.

The Secretary's minutes as published in the Quarterdeck were approved. The Treasurer's report was presented and approved.
Ship Model Shack
Joe Jordan identified open dates in January and noted those who volunteered.
Northeast Regional Conference
Pat Leaf made an urgent appeal for members to assist in this year's Northeast. Conference in that we need to ensure there is backup and continuity should current committee members not be able to serve in four years . Due to the fast approaching dates for the conference, the committee would meet to assess the situation. It was also noted that it would be prudent to identify an Assistant Treasurer.
Website status and future plans for newsletters
It was reported that the web site has gone live, and that items previously published in the newsletter would be published on the web site. Work remains to be done in implementation of the site, and Brian Padnes was identified as the web site administrator, along with Todd Wardwell and Spencer Anderson.
Participation in the March 20 Miniature Show
Discussion indicated that in past years a table with models on display received significant attention. Interested members indicated intent to get additional information on participation.
The next meeting will be held on February 4, 2016.
